Are you ready to hit the road, make new friends, and discover the freedom of cycling? BIKE is organizing a new project created for young people like you, focusing on eco-mobility and community integration. Whether you’re new to cycling or already love it, this project is the perfect chance for you to get involved!
In summer 2025, we’ll be organizing this project in Graz, right between Eid al-Fitr and Easter. You’ll get to join bike rides, connect with new people, and enjoy activities that bring everyone together.
During the Youth and Commute project in the past, young people came together to create BIKE, and now the goal is to help you and other newcomers — especially those from Syria, Afghanistan, and other countries — learn how to ride safely in the city. 🚲✨ If you didn’t grow up learning traffic rules like in Austria, don’t worry! You’ll get the skills you need to ride confidently and safely through traffic.
Check out the previous youth exchange in Trofaiach, where some of the BIKE team lived as refugees when they first arrived in 2016: Watch the video. Now, in Graz, the project is all about supporting you as you learn to cycle, especially with Graz working on improving bike lanes and cycling infrastructure. 🚦
What’s in it for you?
- Bike Safety & Training: Learn to ride confidently in city traffic, with hands-on guidance.
- Get a Bike: Don’t have a bike? We’ll help you find one and teach you how to keep it in great shape.
- Cultural Exchange: Meet and connect with other young people from different countries and backgrounds, all while having fun and learning together.
- Support from InterAktion: Our partners will be there to guide you and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Whether you’re a newcomer or a local, this is your chance to learn new skills, meet new people, and be part of a supportive community. Come ride with us!
