Do you have a passion for the wild outdoors? Are you a person who loves exploration of new horizons? Are you always searching for fresh and natural ideas to your activities with children and young people? Then pack your backpack, find your mountain boots and join us for a Scandinavian adventure!

📅 When: June 30 – July 8, 2025 (including two travel days)
📍 Where: Rysta Gård, a picturesque farm in Volda, nestled in the stunning Sunnmøre Alps of Norway. These fjord-side mountains soar over 1,800 meters, offering the perfect backdrop for outdoor learning and exploration.

What to Expect:
This training will provide (professional and voluntary) youth workers with practical tools to integrate outdoor education into their youth programs and camps. Over the course of the week, you’ll:

  • Challenge your own limits through outdoor activities, including trekking and overnight stays under the stars.
  • Learn how to safely and effectively guide children and young people in outdoor experiences with the aim of enabling growth and resilience.
  • Explore inclusivity by designing and hosting activities with a local group of individuals with disabilities, gaining hands-on skills for inclusive youth work.

What’s Included:

  • Accommodation & Equipment: You’ll sleep under the stars, with tents provided by the host organization. Just bring a sleeping bag and be ready for all types of weather—it’s Norway, after all!
  • Meals: Nutritious meals will be provided during the training.
  • Expert Guidance: Our experienced trainers, including the farm owner who knows the area inside out, will lead you through the week’s challenges and adventures.
  • Travel Support: Travel costs are reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ limits based on your departure country.

What You Need to Know:

  • Cost: Participation fee is €55.
  • Travel: Participants travel independently to Volda, with support from JOETZ and the local facilitators.
  • Arrival: If you plan to arrive early or stay longer, those costs are your responsibility.
  • Insurance: Participants are obliged! to arrange their own travel insurance.
